At Dawg U Fine grooming our clients are treated with care and love. We will make every effort possible to make sure your pet's grooming experience is safe and comfortable. We have policies and procedures in place so that we are all aware of the responsibilities we each have to make this grooming perfect. Remember “Communication is Key” and “Teamwork Makes The Dream Work”.

Booking

There must be a NEW Booking Questioner on file for every visit, for each pet before an appointment is approved.

All appointments must be approved for it to be considered as “Booked”.

To keep your appointment you must confirm by email, chat, or text the day before scheduled time.

Cancellations
-
A Confirmation is sent the day before an approved appointment. Any appointment cancelled after confirmation will result in a cancellation fee of $25. All fees must be paid before returning to Dawg U fine Grooming. We do understand that “life happens” and all fees will be at the groomer’s discretion to the circumstances.

No Shows
-
No shows or cancellations on the day of grooming appointment without communication will be charged 50% of the reserved service amount.Clients who have previous infractions will be asked to pre-pay their future appointments in full.To re-book with us all fees must be paid in full.

Late Arrivals
-
Late arrival is considered more than 15 minutes after your scheduled appointment time.We make it a priority to best serve all our clients.Putting the groomers behind affects all appointments for the day.Late arrivals are up to the groomer's discretion whether you will still be serviced that day.There will be a fee of $15 (+5/ additional dog) for tardiness.If your appointment is canceled due to late arrival you will be subject to the no show policy above.

Late Pick Up

Customers will be notified at least 30 mins before their pet is ready for pick up. Dogs left over 45 after message is sent will be charged a daycare fee of $15 (+$5 for each additional dog) for every half hour they wait.

Health or Medical Problems

Grooming may expose hidden medical problems or aggravate current ones.This can happen during or after grooming.Groomers will inform owners of any issues exposed during the grooming session.Medical expenses for vet care due to these issues will be covered by the owner.

Allergic Reactions

Dawg U Fine Grooming takes great care in providing the best products for your fur babies skin and coat health.We always consult with owners at drop off to any new/pre-existing health conditions that would determine specific product use.If a reaction does occur please make sure to let us know within 24 hours from your visit.All medical expenses for vet care, due to the reaction will be covered by the owner.

Vaccinations

Dawg U Fine Grooming recommends that all pets are up to date on vaccines. This is a spa where every client is kept in their own space. We take pride in keeping areas clean and disinfected with every client. Clients without proof of vaccinations will have an additional fee and limited scheduling. Dawg U Fine Grooming is not responsible for any illnesses that are caused in pets that are not up to date in vaccines. Pet owners are responsible for any illnesses/infections of employees, due to not being vaccinated.

Fleas

It is the customer’s responsibility to notify Dawg U Fine Grooming of any sign of fleas before the appointment. We expect all dogs to stay on a flea/tick prevention all year round. In the event that a flea is found, you will be charged accordingly. Clients that are infested will not be serviced. Multiple pups with signs of fleas, will be seen one at a time. Dawg U Fine is treated and sprayed for pests on a regular basis, we are not responsible for any fleas.

Accidents

While accidents are rare, there is always a risk while working with pets and grooming tools.Our tools are sharp and although we use extreme caution in all situations, possible risks including nicks, cuts, scratches and quickening of nails can occur.In most cases, this is when a pet makes a sudden move.In the circumstance that an accident does occur, Dawg U Fine Grooming will contact you immediately to notify you of the accident.

Vet Authorization - Medical Emergencies

This release gives Dawg U Fine Grooming full authorization to seek medical treatment from a vet in the case of any medical emergencies while in the care of Dawg U Fine Grooming.All vet costs and expenses will be the responsibility of the pet owner.

Matted Pups- Humanity over Vanity

Dogs with severely matted coats require a significant amount of extra attention.Mats cause the coat to grow tight and pull on/damage the skin.It can restrict blood flow and be a breeding ground for parasites unseen to the naked eye.We will not cause unnecessary stress to your pup by trying to “de-mat” them.Severe-matting can only be humanely removed by shaving the pet.Removing a severely matted coat holds its own list of potential issues including nicks, cuts, scrapes, hematomas, etc.Moisture can be trapped under matting as well revealing an abundance of skin problems.In some severe cases, dogs can even exhibit behavioral changes after removal.Prevention is the best defense against matting, regular appointments every 6-8 weeks is recommended.If your pet needs to be shaved due to extreme matting by agreeing to these policies, you acknowledge the risks associated with this process.There will be an additional fee for severe matting - it is a time-consuming process and causes extra wear and tear on grooming equipment.

Dangerous/Aggressive Pet - Refusal of Service

Dawg U Fine Grooming holds the right to refuse services at any point during the grooming process. If your pup becomes too stressed or becomes dangerous to groom, we will stop grooming services immediately.Our main focus is to keep pets and groomers safe.The client will be charged a grooming fee at the groomers discretion.

Customer Satisfaction

Your satisfaction is important to us.If there is anything you are unhappy with and would like to have adjusted, please let us know at the time of pickup.We will be more than happy to make any adjustments you’d like.You will have a 24-hour window to let us know if there’s any adjustments that need to be made.Beyond that, all return visits will be treated as a new appointment and will be charged accordingly.
